Hi, I'm antukent. I'm a 20-something nerd who doesn't know how to describe himself, but will try his hardest to do so.

As part of the older side of Gen Z, I was born into an age where access to the world wide web has become mainstream. I can't remember the first time I tried using the internet, but my earliest memories include watching YTPs, getting jumpscared from Flash games, and just browsing random websites. My first social media profile was on Friendster, which gives you an idea on how early my days on the 2000s internet was.

Until now, I'm still fascinated with this era of the web. After all, I spent my formative years here. However, times change and aesthetics change too. What looked modern twenty years ago looks outdated now. The internet now revolves around the same few social media websites which feature homogenized UI, predatory algorithms, and overdependence on AI.

My search for a "customizable profile" led me to Neocities, where I now have this profile. It took a while to think about what to do with the account I made, but here we are now. I missed out on many early internet trends due to my age, but now, I'm an adult who can try to recreate it.

This is my tribute to my experience of the internet as a kid—or, at least, what I was supposed to experience. Enjoy!
